Lesbian & Gay Signature Gem

Signature Theater’s production, The Little Dog Laughed, kept the audience in stitches for two hours last night in Washington, DC.

Sassy, smart, wise to Hollywood and to human foibles, the play keeps you entertained as you enjoy its fully-formed characters.

Interestingly, the lesbian is the most well-adjusted character, on to herself and to the entertainment business.

The men wrestle with the implications of their sexual preferences. Ironically, the 1932 novel, Hey Diddle Diddle, which references the same song as the title for this play, contains three male actors as characters who are comfortable with their homosexual interests.
